Imprudence 1.2 beta (update: and beta 2) has been released! Post your feedback and bug reports here. :D

Remember, no need to post about stuff that's on the Known Issues list.

If you haven't done so already, this would be a good time to update your profile to list your system information (from Help > About Imprudence). This helps us put your bug reports in context, and saves you from having to tell us over and over what operating system you're on.

the newest bug I have discovered that has stumped McCabe and myself is that my mouse misclicks around the edges of the imprudence window.. heck I've right clicked my msn on my system tray and picked up an item inworld! usually the misclicks happen in the same general area each time for a specific place and the same things happen but he can't repo it, anyone else?

I've also got NSGlue_Assertion and NSGlue_Warning popups that last 2 versions which we havent been able to repo elsewhere? (happens during login)
Is paid in Bewwy Wubbs, Scritches and Scooby Snackz!

A user on Plurk has reported that the Windlight sky settings window can't be opened again after it has been opened and closed once. I've confirmed this myself, using both the Sky button in the toolbar tab, and the Advanced Sky Settings button in the environment settings window.

Don’t know if this is an oversight in development of the 1.2 beta, but I can’t seem to edit the “undershirt” piece of clothing of my avatar. And I can’t activate the “Advanced” menu via Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D on Linux. Otherwise, looking solid so far!(copied from my comment on the blog--sorry about that, overlooked the forum link until after I left the comment)

Looks like something's up with the change to make it toggle (I can't reproduce this; it toggles for me).

EDIT: nm, found the cause. It's been fixed.

Undershirt aside, the Advanced menu can be toggled from View or with the shortcut ctrl-alt-d.

What happens when you try to edit it? Are the sliders grayed out, or the changes don't have any effect, or it makes your computer explode?

And I can’t activate the “Advanced” menu via Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D on Linux.

Ah. We've turned it into a menu item, "View > Advanced", so it has a "real" shortcut now, instead of a secret hidden one, and real ones are more picky than the secret ones were. The shortcut is really Ctrl-Alt-D, and it doesn't like Ctrl-Shift-Alt-D anymore. I know Ctrl-Alt-D is a problem on Linux, but hopefully the new menu item is sufficient for your menu-toggling needs.

Well, when I go into Appearance, there's no entry for undershirt(or underpants btw) in the Appearance window at all. Not greyed out, but simply not there.

The menu item for the Advanced menu is okay, but on other viewers it usually remains persistently activated between logins. So I have to hit View>Advanced menu every time I login.

Advanced should be persisting between logins. Are you crashing when you quit, perhaps?

Ah, okay. A flag is being set wrong internally and the viewer thinks it's in "Teen SL" mode, so it's not allowing editing underclothes. We'll fix that up for the final release.

We'll investigate the Advanced not staying activated. As McCabe said, it may be that the viewer isn't shutting down cleanly. Have a look at the end of "~/.imprudence/logs/Imprudence.log" after you quit, and see if has anything about stack traces or unclean shutdowns. If it shutdown cleanly, it should end with something like this:

Code: Select all
2009-09-29T04:31:17Z INFO: cleanup: Message system deleted.
2009-09-29T04:31:17Z INFO: cleanup: LLCurl cleaned up.
2009-09-29T04:31:17Z INFO: cleanup: Goodbye
2009-09-29T04:31:17Z INFO: staticRun: LLThread::staticRun() Exiting: Error
